Fundamentally Right is Arvind's bespoke approach to Sustainability, which focuses on cotton, people, money, energy, water, and chemicals. We can proudly say that our Santej unit has been proclaimed as one of the largest Zero Liquid Discharge Plants in Asia, having one of India's largest rooftop solar energy installations at our unit.
We have structured policies and processes under the various management standards about the prohibition of employment of child & forced labour, freedom of association and right to collective bargaining, grievances redressal mechanism, working hours, remuneration, health & safety, discrimination, engagement & welfare initiatives, disciplinary proceedings. All such policies &processes was communicated to all stakeholders (internal/external) most amicably. Also, we review the same from time to time and observe the changes, if any, to all concerned stakeholders well in advance.

Water is an essential resource in textile production. The Textile Industry ranks among the top ten water-consuming industries, and natural fiber processing has a larger water footprint than artificial fibers. Efficient treatment & recycling mechanisms well-thought-out conservation projects. We understand that water is not something that can be substituted entirely in the manufacturing process in the foreseeable future, but consumed more judiciously and responsibly.

Ecological imbalance, the sluggish pace of progress, increasing energy costs, and spiralling health issues - the implications of use, overuse, and abuse of power are not just hindering the environment but also the business and the society. At Arvind, we believe that energy is both an enabler and a bottleneck for business growth. While it largely remains as a unique resource, the demand-supply deficit may cause hiccups in the long-term business continuity.
